Lisa is a graduate of Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky; a school known for its focus on ethical and compassionate healthcare for all women, especially those from rural and underserved areas. Lisa is the second child of six; five girls and one boy. Her desire to care for people started at a young age through caring for her siblings. While in high school she completed an internship in labor and delivery, which sparked her interest in a nursing career.
As a registered nurse, Lisa worked in labor and delivery, critical care and in education. She decided to pursue advanced practice nursing in women’s health to help address the unique needs of women across their lifespan. Lisa supports women in becoming their own health advocate, which empowers them to make good choices in health. She is passionate about improving the health and wellness of women through patient centered and efficient care. Lisa strives to find new and innovative ways to treat common gynecologic problems and to promote healthy pregnancies by including her patients in their care decisions.
Lisa often uses her good sense of humor and listening skills to make her patients feel at ease. In her spare time she enjoys reading, going to the beach, traveling and spending time with her husband and two little girls.
