About
Dr. W. Michael Brown, M.D., FAAP, joined the family medicine residency program in July 1996 and currently serves as associate director and the director of pediatrics. Dr. Brown received his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He then completed a three-year pediatric residency at John Hopkins All Children's Hospital, followed by an additional year as chief resident/junior attending. Dr. Brown then spent the next two years as the chief physician and staff pediatrician at the Johnnie Ruth Clarke Health Center. Along with his extensive background in pediatrics and family medicine, Dr. Brown has deep roots in St. Petersburg. Born at Mound Park Hospital (later known as Bayfront Medical Center), he was raised in St. Petersburg and has continued his career here, helping to educate and heal the members of his community.
